The daycare centre directly at Biel station
The daycare centre kids & co au Lac is centrally located directly behind the Biel train station in the building of the "Residenz Au Lac". The bilingual (German/French) daycare centre is open to everyone and places great value on joint events and exchange with families.
There are also weekly generational meetings with the occupants of the residence, which is a great enrichment for old and young. Every day we go out into the fresh air, be it to the nearby lake, playgrounds, the forest, farm or to Magglingen. Our lunches are varied and seasonally, prepared by the local kitchen.

Exchange days
If, exceptionally, a child cannot attend the daycare centre on the usual day, the day can be exchanged free of charge within the same calendar week, provided that a place is available on the desired day. The request must be received by the daycare centre manager at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations due to holidays are excluded.
Additional care days will be charged separately as usual.
Out-of-hours care
This daycare centre offers out-of-hour care for children on request, if the parents are unavailable for important professional reasons. The care can be extended to a maximum of 6h30 at the earliest and 20h30 at the latest. Further information on this in the form out-of-hours care.
Observation visits
In order to offer an insight into the day-to-day work of the daycare centre and to make our pedagogical work visible to the parents, we offer visits to the nursery by appointment. Such a visit lasts 1-2 hours and includes a pre- and debriefing session with the daycare centre manager. For further information consult the document Observation visits (in German, in French).

Information on the childcare voucher system
The daycare centre has one week holiday between Christmas and New Year. It is closed on public holidays as well as on the Friday after the Ascension Day and on one day a year for a team training day.
