The daycare centre kids & co Wankdorf is located on Stauffacherstrasse in the lively Wankdorf district of Bern – just a few minutes' walk from Wankdorf railway station. Thanks to its proximity to Breitenrain, Lorraine, Wyler and Wylerholz, the daycare centre is centrally located for many families, yet close to nature.
Our daycare centre offers loving care for children from 3 months to kindergarten age. In small groups, we create a trusting environment in which children feel safe and can develop individually.
We go outside every day: whether in our own garden with a slide, play boat and sandpit, on regular forest days in the nearby woods or in the wider surroundings of the city of Bern. To satisfy their hunger, our cook prepares child-friendly, seasonal meals every day in our professional kitchen under the "Fourchette verte" quality label.
Thanks to its ideal public transport connections (Wankdorf railway station, bus and tram lines and the Wankdorf motorway junction), the daycare centre is easily accessible – even for parents who live and work in the city of Bern or the surrounding neighbourhoods.

Exchange days
If, exceptionally, a child cannot attend the daycare centre on the usual day, the day can be exchanged free of charge within the same calendar week, provided that a place is available on the desired day. The request must be received by the daycare centre manager at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations due to holidays are excluded.
Additional care days will be charged separately as usual.
Out-of-hours care
This daycare centre offers out-of-hour care for children on request, if the parents are unavailable for important professional reasons. The care can be extended to a maximum of 6h30 at the earliest and 20h30 at the latest. Further information on this in the form out-of-hours care.
Observation visits
In order to offer an insight into the day-to-day work of the daycare centre and to make our pedagogical work visible to the parents, we offer visits to the nursery by appointment. Such a visit lasts 1-2 hours and includes a pre- and debriefing session with the daycare centre manager. For further information consult the document Observation visits (in German, in French).

Information on the childcare voucher system
The daycare centre is closed for one week between Christmas and New Year. It is also closed on public holidays and on the Friday after Ascension Day.
