Small children are always getting ill. Despite a good private support network, it can still happen that your regular arrangements fall apart on the very day you have a meeting with your most important client. At times like these, kids & co can help to find a short-term solution. We have an emergency pool of qualified carers that we can put you in touch with quickly and easily.

The necessary paperwork will all be ready, and profawo will handle insurance and social security contributions for your carer. In an emergency, please contact our offices in Basel, Bern, Zurich and Geneva directly. You can reach us from Monday to Friday during office hours.

Commission fee

For employees of a member company the mediation of an emergency nanny is free of charge.

Non-members pay a commission fee of CHF 180.-

Employees of a member company pay for an emergency nanny an hourly rate of

CHF 35.- Bern, Lucerne, Suisse romande

CHF 39.- Basel, Zürich

Non-members pay an hourly rate of CHF 49.- / (CHF 45/hour in Berne, Lucerne and Suisse romande).

Nanny-finder service

If you prefer your child to be cared for in a one-to-one setting, we’ll help you to recruit a nanny. profawo will support you in the search for a qualified individual to provide regular, long-term childcare in your home.

Nannies are screened carefully as part of a professional application process. The suitable candidates will then be put forward to the parents, and the relevant documents provided. The employment relationship and the contract will then be agreed between the family and the nanny. The parents also receive advice on their new role as an employer.

We have special standard forms and templates to help you with this. The nanny’s salary depends on their age, training and experience, and is paid by the parents. Please contact our regional agencies for further information.
