Holiday island Ostermundigen
The Ostermundigen holiday island takes place during 8 school holiday weeks a year at the Rüti, Bernstrasse or Mösli all-day school. We look after children from kindergarten age up to and including 6th grade – during the sports holiday week, in spring, summer and autumn.
The children have access to the school premises, a garden area and the schoolyard. The carers cook together with the children or have lunch at the nearby ‘Tertianum’ retirement home. Depending on the programme and the weather, the carers take a picnic or food to grill over a fire if they are going on excursion.

* On the last day, the holiday island is open until 16:30.
Important information
Registrations
The number of participants is limited. Registrations are accepted in order of arrival. A waiting list is created when maximum capacity is reached.
The registration deadline is 30 days before the start of the school holidays. Depending on available capacity, late registrations may be accepted. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
Costs
The municipality subsidises places for families in Ostermundigen, depending on the family's financial situation. You will find more details about prices in the brochure.
Children from other municipalities or cantons are welcome, but these places are only subsidised to a limited extent, if at all.
